Optimization of Cogging Torque Based on the Improved Bat Algorithm

Permanent magnet motors have the advantages of high output torque, efficiency, and low noise, but cogging effect is obvious. The 24-slot 4-pole surface-mounted permanent synchronous motor taken as an example to reduce torque motors. Firstly, generation mechanism analysed based on energy method, pole arc coefficient, air gap length, magnetic eccentricity, thickness, slot opening width are determined optimisation parameters. Then, a method further proposed Taguchi response surface bat algorithm with Lévy flight feature applied obtain optimal solution for model. Finally, finite element software used simulate experimental results show that efficiency solved by parameters increased 1.6%, reduced 82.16%, ripple 8.2%. in this paper avoids fluctuations reduces vibration improves control characteristics drive system, operational reliability, low-speed performance speed system accuracy positioning position system.
